We are learner-centered public institution, the department of education continuously improves itself to better serve its stakeholders.

 

Mission

To protect and promote the right of every Filipino to quality, equitable, culture-based, and complete basic education, where :

1) Students learn in a child-friendly, gender-sensitive, safe and motivating environment

2) Teachers facilitate learning and constantly nurture every learner

3) Administrators and staff, as stewards of the institution, ensure an enabling and supportive environment for effective  learning      to happen

4) Family, community, and other stakeholders are actively engaged and share responsibility for developing lifelong learners.

Academic Support System

      Aurora Aragon Quezon Elementary School (AAQES) has 78 instructional classrooms, including science, home economics and livelihood education, and computer laboratories.  Likewise, it has 12 non-instructional classrooms such as library, clinic, canteen, and administrative office.

     There are 155 AAQES teachers who are committed to providing basic education to the 5,747 schoolchildren from Grades I to VI including kindergarten and SPED.  These schoolchildren come from the different backgrounds. 

         The school is spearheaded by Herminia C. Gonzales, principal.

         Built in 1904, AAQES used to be known as San Andres Primary School.  It became a complete elementary school in 1926.  By virtue of resolution No. 426 approved by the Municipal Board on September 28, 1951, San Andres Elementary School was renamed Aurora A. Quezon Elementary School in honor of Doña Aurora Aragon Quezon, former First Lady of the Philippines during the Commonwealth period and Mother of the Philippine National Red Cross.

        At present, the school has 18 functional comfort rooms separate from boys and girls with sic cubicles each room and enough faucets to sustain the needs of the pupils.

Teaching System

          The school gives the teacher opportunity to explore their own teaching system that fit the best with their style, and ofcourse the students’ need in every grades and levels.

Materials and Learning Resources

          The materials are based on K-12 curriculum that developed bu Department of education in the Philippines. The learning resources are various. It can be from text book, student assignment book, internet, nature, learning media, teaching aid, etc.

Measurements and Evaluation System

        Since the Kinder head start consists of highly intelligent students, they use paper based evaluation tests which are related to the five subjects that thaught there ; English, Filipino, MAPEH, Science, and Math.

Curriculum

         Generally, they use K-12 Curriculum that commonly used in the Philippines. But in Kinder Head start, they have special curriculum which is also developed by Department of Education in the Philippines.

Teaching Plan

           They use semi-detailed lesson plan. Semi detailed lesson plan is one where main ideas are listed inbullets. These ideas are clearly visible but not written out wordfor word. The picture below shows the systemathics of semi detailed lesson plan that is used in Aurora A. Quezon Kinder Head Start.
